Nicky Stevens BCAo

Nicky founded the charity IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) following travelling to Borneo in 2009 and committing to making a difference to the lives of the strays on the island. Over the last 16 years IAPWA has developed a range of projects and support programmes worldwide helping over 60,000 animals to date. Nicky has taken part in many challenges to raise funds to support the dogs and cats in IAPWA’s care, including Mount Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp and a 100km trek across the Sahara. Closer to home Nicky enjoys hiking and spending time with her dog Louis who was rescued by the charity 11 years ago.
